complex habitats

Complex Habitats (CH) is a sustainability driven AI research lab based in Hong Kong and Shenzhen that explores how spatial systems grow, adapt, and regenerate, with a focus on the urban morphogenesis. We use machine learning–driven ethnographic methods to study how community-built environments evolve, and how processes of revitalisation and renewal emerge under social, environmental, and infrastructural pressures. By combining spatial analysis with data-driven, field-based inquiry into history, community, and culture, we uncover the hidden knowledge and living intelligence shaping the Pearl River Delta and beyond.
